Fixed Line VoIP - Optus ipPhone Express
Optus ipPhone Express is an off-the-shelf VoIP product that lets you make great call savings over the Internet without giving up your old fixed line1, perfect as your second line.
A summary of Optus ipPhone Express benefits
1. Lower Priced Calls
Use the Internet to make
lower-priced calls, starting at 12 cents for local calls.
2. Simple-to-Use Tools Typically Enjoyed by Big
Business
Access advanced features traditionally enjoyed by large
organisations such as PABX-style Call Routing, Call Logs and Call Screening. All
features are easy to set up and simple to manage.
3. Your Own ‘Virtual Receptionist’ With Personal
Agent
When you’re online, this web-based tool lets you make and
receive calls via your browser and offers a number of great call management
features. Call Routing directs incoming calls according to the time of day and
week and caller ID lets you know who’s calling. The Personal Telephone Directory
handles all your contacts and lets you make calls with the click of a button,
while Line Hunt means no call will go unanswered.
4. Easy Calling Directly from Your Screen
Soft Phone is
an application that’s loaded onto your computer, and lets you make calls
directly from your screen. Styled like an on-screen telephone, you dial via your
screen and use an IP handset or headset to talk. Call Logs keep a record of who
you’ve been talking to and for how long3.
5. Keep Your Existing Number
Most customers will be able
to keep their existing phone numbers4. Contact us to find out
whether your business’ phone number is "portable".2
1. The ipPhone Express service is available in
metropolitan and many regional areas of NSW, ACT, VIC, QLD, SA and WA. It is not

can be connected to ipPhone Express.
2. Numbers must be simple services only
and not all features and services are able to be transferred with your local
call service.
3. Optus Soft Phone is not compatible with some operating
systems, including Microsoft Windows Vista and Macintosh OS operating
systems
